We did even better. The all new FM-570 Gen 4 GunPOD gun vise is now 25 percent lighter, has taller side walls and a more refined finish. Designed primarily for tactical weapons, the new external Picatinny sidewall rail slots allow mounting optional accessories, i.e. lights, crono's, & lasers, etc. The Gen 4 GunPOD's new light weight design weighs only 16 oz. and is absolutely the best tripod gun vise ever invented. The dual moving sidewalls maintains the center over gravity on tripod; which is critical for balancing heave weapons and to help maintain perfect vertical orientation for long range shooting. The reversible sidewalls can switch between soft-side-in, or hard-side-in for better picatinny engagement. Both the rubber pads or the Aluminum sidewalls have vertical picatinny interlock grooves to engage your guns side rail single pic strip or quad rail. A 4in Picatinny lower center rail slot allows a rifle or pistol to lock in place using the bottom twin-tooth-lock without the need of using the side clamps at all. An integrated Arca rail is built directly into the center frame which eliminates the need for a separate QR plate when attaching to the tripod. This gives added reliability, lower cost, and less weight. The GunPOD FM-570 is all CNC construction made from durable anodized aircraft 6061-T6 aluminum with stainless steel hardware. Dual moving sidewalls maintain perfect center of gravity on tripod.
