Semperfli Fluoro Brite

SemperFli Fluoro Brite is a twisted polyester fluorescent tying thread that can also be a floss - simply untwist with the bobbin holder. Fluoro Brite threads are all 120 Denier/6/0-rated and recommended for hook sizes #10-2/0 (for smaller flies, split the thread and use a #20 hook). You can make an astounding crinkled tail with what looks like little firelights with Fluoro Brite. Fluoro Brite was born to be different, as it can serve as both a tying thread and floss when untwisted. Many fish species see into the ultraviolet light spectrum further than we can. Even though UV rays from the sun are not visible to humans (except under UV light), they still refract through our atmosphere, triggering the fluorescence in these tying materials. In low-light conditions, fish see your fly pattern tied with fluoro thread better than one tied without. Flies containing fluorescent materials work most effectively when fished one hour before daylight or one hour after nightfall. SemperFli Fluoro Brite ignites your flies, creating 'hot spots' that attract trout, salmon, and other species.
