SLIK SVH-501 Lightweight Video Head - The Slik SVH-501 Lightweight Video Head weighs in at only a pound yet supports up to 6.6 pounds. It features a flat base with a 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole, and includes a 1/4"-20 bushing, allowing you to mount the head on tripods or sliders with a 3/8"-16 or 2/4"-20 mounting thread. It features an Arca-type sliding quick release plate with a 2" sliding range to help balance your camera on the tripod head. The tripod head also features a safety catch to prevent the quick release plate from accidentally sliding out of the head. The catch can be rotated out of the way to make mounting and removal faster. The plate features a 1/4"-20 tie-down screw with a wing nut design so you can fasten your camera to the plate without tools, and it includes a slot so you can also use a flat head screwdriver or coin to tighten the screw. Independent pan and tilt locks allow you to keep one axis locked while adjusting the other, or you can lock off the head entirely. The pan handle can rotate through 180deg so you can set it to best operate the head for each shot.
